Save the Date: Race Day was Saturday, March 22th, 2008 |
|
Zeta Tau Alpha at the University of Virginia, with the help of the Charlottesville business community,
will be holding our Thirteenth Annual Run for Life 5k. The event will take place on March 22, 2008
on the grounds of UVA and will support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. In
2006, we had
nearly 1000 participants. The Run for Life has truly become a “town meets university” event with
people of all ages coming out to run or walk in honor or memory of friends and family who have been
diagnosed with breast cancer.
I am inviting you to join our fight against this disease that affects the lives of so many people. The
Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is a
nationally recognized organization. By advancing research, education, screening, and treatment, the
Foundation works towards its mission to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. Last year,
we were able to donate nearly $16,000 to the Komen Foundation, 30% of which we donated directly back to
the UVA Breast Cancer
Center. Over the past five years the Komen Foundation has awarded $11 million in grants towards
breast cancer research at UVA. Your participation is instrumental in both the continued success of this
event and the fight against breast cancer.
Please see our
Corporate Sponsorship form to see how you can help. I hope you will consider one of the sponsorship
levels and help us help the Komen Foundation. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Tara Zullo
