Race Information: The Zeta Run for Life 5k has developed into one of the largest 5ks on the grounds of UVa and has been the most participated in Greek philanthropy over the past few years. Community members and students come together to celebrate the race. Along the course enjoy the company of spirited runners and walkers, cheering volunteers, and spot a costumed runner or two! Purpose One in every eight women is diagnosed with breast cancer. Zeta Tau Alpha presents this 18th annual 5k to raise funds for Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation and the UVa Breast Cancer Center. All proceeds will go toward the advancement of breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment. Date and Time Saturday,March 24, 2012. Race day registration begins at 8am and closes at 9:30. Race begins at 10 am. Location On the grounds of UVa, official start and finish at Nameless Field. Race course (see map) 5K run/walk through the Grounds at the University of Virginia. Aid stations will be located at each mile. Registration and Donation Online registration is available on the Registration / Donation page. Pre-race registration is $20; race day registration $25. Pre-race registration for UVa students and CTC members is $15, $18 race day. Please write UVa computing ID on registration form if discount applies*. Donation includes tee shirt. Early registration by March 10th assures properly sized shirt. No exceptions. Shirts are not guaranteed to race-day entrants. No entry without donation. Please make all checks payable to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation. No refunds. Packet Pick-Up Packet pick-up will be located at the Westminster Presbyterian Church at 190 Rugny Road from 4-6:30 on Friday, March 23. Only the participants who submitted their registration forms that were submitted before Monday, March 19 are elgible for packet pick-up Friday. Awards Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers overall and to the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age groups: 0-13, 14-17, 18-23, 24-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Zeta will recognize Greek and community teams with the most participants. The top breast cancer survivor finisher will also receive a prize.
