Race Information:
purpose One in every seven women is diagnosed with breast cancer. Zeta Tau Alpha presents this 16th annual race to raise funds for Zeta's national philanthropy, The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and our local UVa Cancer Center. All proceeds will go toward the advancement of breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment. date/time Saturday,March 27, 2010. Registration begins at 8 am, race begins at 10 am. location Newcomb Hall Plaza behind the UVa Bookstore race course (see map) 5K run/walk through the Grounds at the University of Virginia. Aid stations will be located at each mile. donation New this year — online registration is available on the Registration / Donation page. $15 pre-race registration, $18 race day registration. Fee includes t-shirt. Early registration by March 8, 2010, assures a properly sized t-shirt. No exceptions! Shirts are not guaranteed for race-day entrants.No entry accepted without donation. Please make checks payable to Zeta Tau Alpha. No refunds. packet pick-up Packet pick-up will be available at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 190 Rugby Road from 5–7 pm on Friday,March 26. All registered runners who go to packet pick-up on Friday, March 26th will be entered in a raffle to win a Sticks gift certificate plus other goodies! Registration forms must be received by March 22 for packet pick-up on Friday. See website for more pick-up details.Otherwise, arrive at race by 9 am Saturday morning for pick-up.
