Zeta
Tau Alpha at the University of Virginia, with the help of the
Charlottesville business community, will be holding our 18th Annual Run
for Life 5k. The event will take place on March 24, 2012 on the grounds
of UVa. Proceeds will be donated to the UVA Breast Cancer Center and to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation to support breast cancer education and awareness programs. In
2011, we had over 1,000 participants. The Run for Life has truly become
a “town meets university” event with people of all ages coming out to
run or walk in honor or memory of friends and family who have been
diagnosed with breast cancer.
I
am inviting you to join us in fighting the disease that affects 1 in 8
women. By advancing research, education, screening, and treatment, the
ZTA Foundation works
towards its mission to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening
disease. Last year, we raised nearly $22,000, 60% of which we donated
to UVa Breast Cancer Center. Your participation is instrumental in both the continued success of this event and the fight against breast cancer.
Sincerely,
Michaela
